Croutons

We rarely have bread go stale, but if some is getting close, I might make Chicken & Stuffing Casserole (see recipe on earlier post on this blog!) or let the lads feed it to birds. Sometimes Jay will bring home a large loaf of fresh white bread straight from the bakery. It is delicious the first day or so but by day three, it is not edible. I can't let it go to waste! I had made croutons a few times but they were never as tasty as store bought ones, but recently I gave it another go.  I think I've found the secret. Cooking spray! Cooking spray makes sure that the yummy herbs and dried garlic stick to the bread without making it greasy. Go ahead try it!
