Meatballs

My boys love meatballs! But 5 dozen in one go is too much even for them. I've halved this recipe many times but it really takes the same amount of work as making a whole batch. So now I work smarter not harder and freeze the extra meatballs for later. We love spaghetti and meatballs, sweet and sour meatballs, meatballs with gravy and mash, and barbecue meatballs. This recipe works great for all of them!

Meatballs

Ingredients:
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
2 cups soft bread crumbs (4 slices of bread)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (omit if using in sweet and sour)
1 tsp salt
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound sausage meat

Directions:
In large bowl, combine eggs, milk, crumbs, cheese, and salt.
Mix in beef and sausage.
Shape into medium-sized balls.
Bake in shallow baking pan at 190 degrees C for 30-35 minutes; drain.
Makes approx 5 dozen.
Cool and freeze if desired.
